New Hampshire 6-year-old tests positive for cocaine, cannabis; mother faces multiple charges
A woman in New Hampshire is now facing charges of child endangerment and witness tampering after her six‑year‑old daughter ate a THC‑infused gummy. The child later tested positive for both cannabinoids and cocaine, according to officials.
When the state Division for Children, Youth and Families tipped off the Nashua Police Department on November 3, detectives launched an inquiry. They discovered the child had been hospitalized following the ingestion and that her mother, Paige Goulet, allegedly tried to prevent a witness from aiding the investigation.
“While at the hospital, the juvenile victim tested positive for the illegal drugs, cannabinoids, and cocaine,” the department’s release read. “Detectives learned that Goulet had told a witness not to cooperate with the police investigation, and detectives determined that Goulet had neglected her duty to care for her juvenile daughter.”
