India’s star boxer Jaismine Lamboria is on cloud nine after clinching the gold medal at the World Boxing Championships 2025. She called it a massive proud moment for the entire nation, sharing her joy in an exclusive chat with .

“The tournament has been amazing, and winning gold for India feels incredible. I’m super happy right now,” Jaismine said, beaming with pride.

This historic win came after she outboxed Poland’s Szermeta Julia with a 4-1 score in the 57kg category during the championships in Liverpool on Saturday. Jaismine’s stellar performance has put Indian boxing in the spotlight once again.

She also opened up about the warm welcome back home. “We’ve been invited to so many places and honored everywhere. Athletes are finally getting the respect they deserve, and it makes us all feel so proud,” she added.

The Indian boxing team wrapped up their campaign at the World Boxing Championships 2025 on a high note, bagging four medals in total. Besides Jaismine’s gold, Minakshi Hooda also grabbed gold, Nupur Sheoran secured silver, and Pooja Rani won bronze. It’s a golden era for Indian women boxers!

Even Prime Minister Narendra Modi joined in the celebrations, tweeting his congratulations to Jaismine. “Congratulations to @BoxerJaismine for her triumph at the World Boxing Championships 2025 in the 57kg weight category!
