Malaga, Spain – November 30 (LatestNewsX) – Avani Prashanth slipped into a tie‑for‑sixth place after three rounds at the Andalucía Costa del Sol Open, matching Aditi Ashok. Avani finished the day at 68, while Aditi recorded a 69, both translating into eight under par over the opening rounds. Indian teammates also made the leaderboard: Pranavi Urs shot 71 to tie for 44th, Hitaashee Bakshi 70 for a tie at 55th, and Diksha Dagar 75, tying for 69th.
Avani managed five birdies against a single bogey, and Aditi matched the birdie count but took two bogeys.
The tie‑for‑sixth spot was shared not only by Avani and Aditi but also by Anna Huang, Alessandra Fanali from Italy, and the finalists for the LET Order of Merit title, Shannon Tan and Mimi Rhodes.
At the top of the field, Thailand’s Trichat Cheenglab held a three‑shot advantage, standing at 15 under par heading into the final day. She opened right, picking up her first birdie on the seventh tee and adding another on the ninth at Real Guadalhorce Club de Golf. The back nine was more challenging, with bogeys on the 15th and 17th, but she wrapped up with a 72 (even) to keep the lead.
Cheenglab, who captured both the 2023 LET Order of Merit and Rookie of the Year honors, is on course for her second LET title tomorrow.
France’s Perrine Delacour moved into lone second place on 12 under par after a 66 (-6) round, trailing by just one shot as she heads into the final day. She had a run of rolling birdies on holes four, six, nine, ten, thirteen, fourteen, and sixteen before the only over-par stroke of the day.
Finishing just one stroke back was France’s Nastasia Nadaud, who sits in solo third with 10 under after a 69 (-3) in Spain. Australia’s Kirsten Rudgeley and Denmark’s Smilla Tarning Soenderby are tied for fourth at nine under, having posted scores of 68 (-4) and 69 (-3) respectively.
