UP Yoddhas finally broke their four-game skid in the Pro Kabaddi League with a convincing 39-22 victory over Tamil Thalaivas at Jaipur’s SMS Indoor Stadium. Star raider Sumit Sangwan stole the show with a High Five, while defenders Mahender Singh and Ashu Singh each notched four tackles to lock down the win.

Even though key raider Arjun Deshwal only managed two points on a tough night, UP Yoddhas’ defense stepped up big time. For Tamil Thalaivas, Nitesh Kumar fought hard alone, grabbing seven tackle points to keep his team in the hunt.

The match kicked off with a tight battle, as both sides refused to back down. Nitesh Kumar made an early impact for Tamil Thalaivas with strong tackles, and Narender Kandola shone on raids and defense. UP Yoddhas countered with Gagan Gowda’s first raid point and Bhavani Rajput’s quick two-point score.

Arjun Deshwal started slow, so Narender Kandola kept Tamil Thalaivas ahead on the scoreboard. But Ashu Singh leveled things with UP Yoddhas’ first tackle, followed by Mahender Singh’s clutch stop.

Shivam Chaudhary then sparked a turnaround with a big multi-point raid, giving UP Yoddhas a two-point edge. Their defense ramped up, stretching the lead to five despite Nitesh Kumar’s impressive High Five for Tamil Thalaivas—who scraped just two raid points in the first half. At halftime, UP Yoddhas led 15-10 after a gritty fight.

The second half belonged to UP Yoddhas from the jump. They hit Tamil Thalaivas with an All Out thanks to Ashu Singh’s tackle, then Bhavani Rajput and Gagan Gowda piled on raid points. The defense kept rolling, forcing another All Out with Ashu Singh sealing it again. By now, Ashu and Sumit each had four tackles, Mahender added three, and UP Yoddhas built a massive 17-point cushion.

Tamil Thalaivas’ attack fizzled out, leaving them chasing the game. Sumit Sangwan wrapped up his High Five, powering UP Yoddhas to a dominant 39-22 triumph in this Jaipur kabaddi showdown.
