Ahmedabad, Dec 12 (LatestNewsX) – Three wrestlers from Haryana – Antim, Manisha and Nisha Dahiya – all captured gold medals in their respective weight classes at the Senior National Wrestling Championship, securing their places on the roster for the soon‑to‑take place international meets.
In the 76‑kg event, Priya Malik (SSCB) earned silver after dropping the final to Haryana’s Jyoti Berwal, while world‑bronze medalist Mansi claimed the bronze.
Haryana’s dominance was clear, claiming the most gold medals and topping the team rankings with 190 points, followed by RSPB (144) and Delhi (112).
Notable performers for Haryana included Neelam (50 kg), Manisha (57 kg), Rajnita (59 kg), Anjali (62 kg), Pulkit (65 kg), Hareita (72 kg) and Jyoti (76 kg). RSPB also sent a strong contingent, with champions Neelam (50 kg), Antim (55 kg) and Nisha (68 kg).
Delhi rounded out the standings in third place, consistently grabbing podium spots across several divisions. Men’s freestyle wrestling is scheduled to kick off tomorrow, featuring Olympic bronze‑medallist Aman in the 61‑kg category.
