Telugu Titans will play final and create some history: Ex-PKL star Rahul Chaudhari’s bold prediction

In a recent appearance at a Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) match, former star Rahul Chaudhari got excited about watching his old team, the Telugu Titans, on the sidelines. During the game, he made a bold prediction: the Titans will win the upcoming PKL 12 title and “create new history.”

“First I played and now I’m watching,” Chaudhari told reporters. “It’s great to see the cheers for my team again.” He added that being at a PKL arena feels like a natural part of the sport’s life cycle—playing, enjoying, and then cheering it on.

Chaudhari’s enthusiasm is rooted in how far the Titans have come this season. After a shaky start, the squad and management steadied themselves, and the team is now in a strong position. He praised key players such as Vijay Malik, Ashish Narwal, and Bharat Hooda for their solid performances.

The league’s new playoff format raises the stakes. Earlier only six teams made the playoffs; now eight do, leaving only four teams at the bottom. Chaudhari said this change has made the competition “significantly more intense.”

Speaking from his experience up to Season 10, he noted that this season’s matches are tighter than ever, reflecting the high standard of modern kabaddi and the skill of the new players entering the league.

He highlighted rising stars like Devank, who has shown potential as a top raider in the last two seasons, and Ayan, another promising talent.

When asked about which team will finish first, Chaudhari compared a race between “a rabbit and a tortoise.” “Puneri Paltan and Dabang Delhi are fast, but slowly. The Telugu Titans have climbed from the bottom to third place. I think they will reach the final and make history,” he said.

Chaudhari’s confident tone reflects his deep connection to the Telugu Titans and his belief that they have what it takes to claim the PKL 12 title.
