Fans are going wild over the Asia Cup 2025 final between India and Pakistan, set for Sunday at Dubai International Stadium. Tickets for this high-stakes cricket showdown have sold out completely, with organizers telling Geo News that the 28,000-seat venue is packed to the brim.

The rivalry has drawn massive crowds all tournament. Over 20,000 spectators showed up for their group stage clash on September 14, and about 17,000 filled the stands for the Super Four match on September 21.

It’s a historic moment—41 years after the first Asia Cup in 1984, India and Pakistan are facing off in the final for the very first time. India has dominated their recent meetings, beating Pakistan convincingly in both Asia Cup 2025 encounters. Overall, Pakistan has struggled in T20I cricket against India, losing 12 out of 15 head-to-head battles.

Pakistan enters as the underdogs, but their path to the final has been a rollercoaster. Captain Salman Agha and his team nearly got knocked out by Bangladesh in the Super Fours, but they fought back hard for an 11-run win to secure their spot.

India faced a brief worry before the big game. Abhishek Sharma and Hardik Pandya dealt with cramps during their final Super Fours match against Sri Lanka, sidelining them for much of it. The good news? Both players are fully fit and ready for the India-Pakistan rivalry clash.

India’s squad features Suryakumar Yadav as captain, alongside Shubman Gill, Abhishek Sharma, Tilak Varma, Hardik Pandya, Shivam Dube, Jitesh Sharma, Axar Patel, Jasprit Bumrah, Varun Chakaravarthy, Arshdeep Singh, Kuldeep Yadav, Sanju Samson, Harshit Rana, and Rinku Singh.

Pakistan’s lineup, led by Salman Ali Agha, includes Abrar Ahmed, Faheem Ashraf, Fakhar Zaman, Haris Rauf, Hasan Ali, Hasan Nawaz, Hussain Talat, Khushdil Shah, Mohammad Haris, Mohammad Nawaz, Mohammad Waseem Jnr, Sahibzada Farhan, Saim Ayub, Salman Mirza, Shaheen Afridi, and Sufyan Moqim. ()
