Making commendable efforts for development of U’Khand: PM Modi’s birthday wishes to CM Dhami
Prime Minister Narendra Modi sent warm birthday greetings to Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday, praising his hard work for the all-round development of the state. Dhami, who turned 49 today, has been leading Uttarakhand with a focus on youth empowerment and progress.
Born on September 16, 1975, in Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand, Dhami grew up in a family with a strong military background—his father served in the Indian Army. He completed his schooling in Khatima and kicked off his political journey in 1990 by joining the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), the student wing of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Dhami made history in 2021 when he became the youngest Chief Minister of Uttarakhand at just 45 years old. He took oath as the 10th CM on July 3, after Tirath Singh Rawat stepped down, and has since steered the state towards growth and welfare.
Sharing his message on X (formerly Twitter), PM Modi wrote: “Best wishes to Uttarakhand CM Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami Ji on his birthday. He is making commendable efforts to ensure all-around development of the state and empower the youth. Praying for his long and healthy life.”
The celebrations didn’t stop there. Union Home Minister Amit Shah also posted his wishes on social media, highlighting Dhami’s role under PM Modi’s leadership. “Heartfelt birthday wishes to the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Pushkar Singh Dhami. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, you are continuously working for the welfare of the poor along with the progress of Devbhoomi. I pray to Baba Kedarnath ji for your healthy, happy, and long life,” Shah said.
Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh joined in too, commending Dhami’s dedication. “His commitment towards strengthening the identity of Devbhoomi and ensuring the state’s steady development is commendable. May he be blessed with good health, long life and continued success in serving the people of Uttarakhand,” Singh posted on X.
Even Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari extended his greetings, wishing Dhami excellent health, a long life, and endless bliss as he continues to serve Uttarakhand.
It’s clear that Dhami’s leadership in Uttarakhand is earning high praise from top BJP leaders, making his birthday a special moment for the “Land of the Gods.”
