Crazed son found covered in blood after fatally stabbing parents in their Long Island deli: cops

Late Thursday morning, 30‑year‑old Vito D’Ambrosio was found sitting in the parking lot of his family‑owned deli on Hicksville Road in Bethpage, dripping with blood, when Nassau County police arrived at the scene.

According to officials, he had fatally stabbed his parents—70‑year‑old Antonio and 62‑year‑old Angela—just after 9 a.m. inside the A & A Italian Deli.

Officers witnessed him in the adjacent lot and had a “short conversation” with him before taking him into custody. Witness Joe Boros told WABC that he heard the accused admit, “I just stabbed my parents.”

Earlier that day, Vito was reportedly involved in an altercation at a local coffee shop, where he allegedly struck a female clerk—an incident that was also reported to 911.

Vito has a history of family conflict, including a sibling who holds a protection order against him, and has been fitted with an ankle monitor since then. He is currently in the hospital undergoing evaluation, with a bedside arraignment scheduled for later in the day.
