Dabang Delhi KC grabbed a thrilling 38-37 win over Haryana Steelers in a nail-biting Pro Kabaddi League season 12 match at Chennai’s SDAT Multi-Purpose Indoor Stadium. The victory came on a tense Monday night, boosting the table-toppers to eight wins this season.
From the opening whistle, the clash between defending champions Haryana Steelers and league leaders Dabang Delhi kept fans on the edge of their seats. In the first 10 minutes, both teams traded raids blow for blow, with scores locked at 8-8. Ashu Malik sparked early for Delhi, landing quick points, while Vinay fired back for the Steelers to stay even. Neeraj Narwal and Vishal Tate added key touches, making every move feel razor-sharp.
Delhi took charge in the second quarter with a sharp all-around game. Ashu Malik dominated raids, getting strong support from defenders Surjeet Singh and Saurabh Nandal. The Steelers, who started strong, suddenly faced tough resistance as their raiders hit walls. The big moment hit when Delhi pulled off the game’s first All Out, opening a solid lead. Ashu’s raids kept pouring in, and Fazel Atrachali’s tackle on Vinay sealed the defensive edge. At halftime, Delhi led comfortably 19-13.
The third quarter saw Haryana dig in with gritty defense. Jaideep Dahiya shone with multiple tackles, including Super Tackles that narrowed the gap. Vinay kept raiding to chip away at the score.
But Ashu Malik turned the tide again with a stunning Super Raid, wiping out three Steelers and triggering a second All Out. This not only padded Delhi’s lead to 30-19 but also marked Ashu’s Super 10 in his 100th PKL game. The Delhi captain stayed cool under pressure, locking down control.
The final 10 minutes flipped the script into pure drama. Haryana roared back, fueled by Vinay’s steady raids and Ashish Narwal’s fresh energy from the bench. They forced an All Out on Delhi, slashing the lead to just two points with 90 seconds left. The crowd buzzed as Vinay leveled it with a multi-point raid.
Delhi fought back fast—Neeraj Narwal raided to regain the edge. Ashish Narwal added five vital points in the closing stretch, including a clutch one in the last raid. But time ran out, and Dabang Delhi hung on for the one-point squeaker.
This intense Pro Kabaddi League showdown in Chennai highlighted why PKL season 12 delivers non-stop excitement, with stars like Ashu Malik and Vinay stealing the show.
