Vikrant Massey’s wife says ‘honoured to be your loudest cheerleader’ after his National Award win
Vikrant Massey just made headlines by winning the National Film Award for Best Actor, presented by the President of India in Mumbai on Tuesday. The Bollywood star earned the honor for his standout role as IPS officer Manoj Kumar Sharma in the hit film “12th Fail,” a story that’s captured hearts across India.
His wife, Sheetal Thakur, couldn’t hold back her excitement. She shared a sweet photo on Instagram of the couple beaming while holding the shiny National Award trophy. “Just when I feel I couldn’t be more proud, you give me another reason to be,” she wrote, adding teary-eyed and red heart emojis. “Congratulations on your first National Award… It has been my honor to be your loudest cheerleader in every room you walk in. Loads of love, Wifey.”
The post quickly drew love from fellow stars. Actress Hina Khan jumped in with, “So so proud,” followed by clapping emojis. Tamannaah Bhatia kept it simple: “Congratulations” with a string of red hearts. And Gauahar Khan cheered, “Yayyy! He truly deserves it. Congratulations @vikrantmassey,” complete with more hearts.
Vikrant himself called it the “proudest moment” of his life during the ceremony. “It’s a dream that a 20-year-old boy once envisioned, and to see it come to fruition feels nothing short of surreal,” he shared. He also highlighted the joy of celebrating with his mother and wife. Looking ahead, the actor promised fans, “If this serves as a testament to my dedication to the craft, I hope to continue being worthy of people’s time and trust—to better myself with each step, and to entertain as well as inform through the privileged platform of cinema and media.”
