In Poonch, Jammu and Kashmir, the Indian Army’s Romeo Force brought together ex-servicemen for a special interaction meet in Tota Gali on Tuesday. They also set up a medical camp to help retired soldiers tackle their health concerns right there on the spot.
Mohd Iqlakh Khan, a retired Honorary Captain and president of the local ex-servicemen league, couldn’t hide his excitement about the event. “We joined a rally organized by the Indian Army here in Tota Gali, and it felt amazing that they remembered us,” Khan told . He praised how army officials reviewed important documents, heard out everyone’s problems, and even solved some issues on the day. The medical camp treated various needs, and they provided food too. “We’re so grateful for the invite and all their support,” he added.
