Haunting photos show Long Island teen Emily Finn smiling and dancing at prom with her ex-boyfriend — the same boy who allegedly killed her in a failed murder-suicide attempt just days before Thanksgiving.
Eighteen-year-old Austin Lynch, who is expected to be arraigned Friday in Suffolk County court, appears in multiple social media photos happily posing with Finn. In one image, he’s even lifting her up during their prom night — months before their breakup and the tragic shooting that followed.
Other images uncovered by The Post show Lynch posing with a gun, adding an eerie layer to the heartbreaking case.
Police say Lynch allegedly shot Finn inside his Nesconset home on Wednesday when she stopped by to return some of his belongings after their recent split. He then turned the gun on himself, shooting himself in the face, but survived. Authorities say he will likely be charged with second-degree murder.
A family friend said Lynch was devastated after the end of what was described as “puppy love,” insisting Finn did nothing to provoke him.
“People are in the comments saying, ‘she must’ve done something to him.’ No, she didn’t,” the friend said.
A series of social media photos show glimpses of their relationship, including a pre-prom picture where Finn flashes a big smile in a magenta dress while Lynch stands beside her, looking serious in all black.
The two were apparently close enough to vacation together in Aruba, and Lynch’s mother’s Facebook cover photo even features a family beach picture that includes Finn.
Authorities say Lynch is still recovering from the self-inflicted gunshot wound. He will be arraigned once doctors — and a judge — determine he is medically stable and alert enough to appear in court.
