Mumbai, Nov. 17 – Hollywood singer‑actor Nick Jonas sent fan‑farewell wishes to the team behind Priyanka Chopra’s upcoming film Varanasi after seeing the first look of SS Rajamouli’s new action‑adventure drama.
Jonas praised the project, calling it “incredible.” He shared the first‑look poster of star Mahesh Babu on his Instagram Stories and wrote, “Congrats to the whole team. This film is sure to be incredible.” He tagged Chopra, Rajamouli and the crew.
The pop star also raved about Chopra’s look for the title reveal. Posting a photo of the actress in an all‑white lehenga, he wrote, “Just Wow – Breathtaking.” In another caption he called Chopra his “My Desi Girl.”
Chopra arrived in Hyderabad wearing a striking white lehenga accented with gold crystal and sequin work. The outfit featured antique gold embroidery, a striking choker, maang‑tikka, layered bangles and a decorative choti. She posted a photo on Instagram with the caption “Channeling my inner Devi (goddess)” and Jonas reacted with, “I think I speak on behalf of everyone when I say… Oh my god.”
The title reveal event in Hyderabad delayed the unveiling of the teaser, trying twice before it played on the third attempt. Director SS Rajamouli, known for RRR, admitted he felt “emotional” when the teaser finally appeared. He shared a personal story about his father’s belief that “God would be right behind me and make all things work,” and his emotional reaction to the moment.
