New Delhi, Oct 16, 2025 – The All India Congress Committee (AICC) has reshuffled its leadership and rebuilt its election team for the union territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli. The move comes as the Congress party ramps up its organisational strength ahead of upcoming elections.
### The new Pradesh Election Committee
A press release announced that the Dadra & Nagar Haveli Pradesh Election Committee will now be led by ten new members: Prabhu Tokiya, Ajit Mahla, Mahesh Dhodi, Rajendra Patel, Sadik Shaikh, Digesh Joshi, Raman Kakwa, Nana Saheb Shinde, Amol Meshram and Vanita Meshram. The committee’s job is to prepare the party’s strategy and mobilise voters in the territory.
### Expanded Political Affairs Committee
The party also added six fresh faces to the Political Affairs Committee to help it tackle regional challenges: Rajmohan Unnithan, VK Sreekandan, Dean Kuriakose, Pandalam Sudhakaran, CP Mohammed and AK Mani. Their expanded mandate is to devise stronger campaign plans and policy responses.
### Broader leadership appointments
The AICC’s General Secretaries list now includes 22 diverse members, such as Pazhakulam Madhu, Tomy Kallany, K Jayanth, Deepthi‑Mary Varghese and PA Saleem. A 13‑person Vice‑President group—led by figures like T Sarathchandra Prasad, Hibi Eden and Roy K Paulose—will oversee national operations. VA Narayananam has been named the new Treasurer.
The total of General Secretaries across the country has increased to 58, featuring names like N Shailaj, BRM Shafeer and Simon Alex. These appointments reflect the party’s push for wider representation from across India.
