Hollywood star Mila Kunis has spoken candidly about the frustration she faces as the president of the homeowners association (HOA) for her Beverly Hills block, according to Female First UK. During an appearance on the Today show, she described how the constant stream of complaints from her neighbors feels relentless. “All people do is complain, all I get is complaints all day long,” she said, adding that she never gets a simple acknowledgment of her efforts.
The 42‑year‑old actress, who resides in the neighborhood with husband Ashton Kutcher, 47, and their two children, Wyatt, 11, and Dimitri, 9, took on the HOA role when “no one else wanted it.” She hopes to use her fame to highlight the often‑underappreciated work of HOA leaders across the country. “I’m gonna start a petition as a homeowner, as a head of the homeowners association,” she explained. “I want to thank all other homeowners, members of the homeowners association and the presidents for all their hard work, because no one ever says thank you.”
Kunis also revealed that many residents ignore her mailings, mistaking them for automated blasts. She joked that she had to enlist a friend who lives in the area to encourage a reply: “Recently, I had to text my friend who lives in the neighborhood. And I was like, ‘You need to reply to my email and be like, thank you so much, so that I can encourage other people to acknowledge my email.’”
Despite living in a place that’s already used to celebrity presence, Kunis finds the role still demanding. She admitted she had to collaborate with Chat GPT to draft some of her communications, hoping to coax more engagement from her neighbors. Her story underscores how even in the most glamorous locales, the responsibilities of community leadership can feel thankless at times.
