Lottery baron Santiago Martin‘s son to launch new political party on Dec 14 in Puducherry

Puducherry, Dec 11 (LatestNewsX) – In a move that could reshape politics in the Union Territory, Jose Charles Martin, the son of well‑known lottery magnate Santiago Martin, has announced the creation of a new party called “Latchiya Jananayaka Katchi.”

Martin made the declaration from Geneva, where he was speaking on human rights. He said unveiling the party on a global stage was purposeful, aimed at demonstrating Puducherry’s commitment to modern democratic values and fostering international cooperation.

In his statement, Martin attacked the current political climate in Puducherry, claiming the union territory is entangled “between a corrupt administration and forces that divide people on communal and caste lines,” stalling its development.

The party will focus on delivering “real democratic governance,” a form of leadership he says has been missing in the region for decades.

By stressing transparency, “people‑centric policymaking,” and “inclusive development,” the new party seeks to position itself as an alternative to the present political order, which Martin argues has fallen short of public aspirations.

Martin outlined a vision whereby Puducherry could become a model region that inspires governance standards across India.
