In Mumbai, the much‑loved television actress Urvashi Dholakia recently highlighted what it truly means to be a woman.
On Instagram, she shared a handful of photos taken during a brief escape, where she is seen draped in a brilliant blue saree that blends with the sea backdrop.
“To be a woman is to play a thousand roles & still know exactly who you are,” she captioned the images.
Urvashi’s screen journey began at the tender age of six in a commercial featuring Revathi. She later appeared as the character Rajlaxmi in the Doordarshan series Shrikant. Her debut adult role surfaced in Dekh Bhai Dekh, followed by a stint in Waqt Ki Raftar. Throughout the 2000s, she graced the small screen in Ghar Ek Mandir, Kabhii Sautan Kabhii Sahelii, Kasautii Zindagii Kay, and Kahiin To Hoga.
In 2012, she entered the competitive arena of the reality show “Bigg Boss” (season 6) and ultimately took home the crown. Post‑reality, she portrayed Queen Iravati in the historical‑fantasy series Chandrakanta and returned to the drama genre with Naagin 6 in 2022.
Earlier this year, Urvashi re‑appeared on television, taking on the role of Devi Singh Shekhawat in Pushpa Impossible. Speaking about her return, she said, “Coming back as Devi feels like home again. Devi’s strength and independence shine through, and she’s ready to rally behind Pushpa when she needs her most.”
Her latest project, Power Of Paanch, features an ensemble cast that includes Riva Arora, Jaiveer Juneja, Aditya Arora, Anubha Arora, Bianca Arora, Yash Sehgal, Barkha Bisht, and Urvashi herself. The series follows young Bela, who discovers that her four friends—Ranveer, Ali, Baggu, and Jhanvi—each inherit one of the four elemental powers on their sixteenth birthday, setting the stage for an exciting adventure.
