Chennai, Nov. 29 (LatestNewsX) – The Indian Junior Men’s Hockey Team kept up their impressive run at the FIH Hockey Men’s Junior World Cup Tamil Nadu 2025, delivering a dazzling 17‑0 demolition of Oman in pool B.
In their last match India had a decisive 7‑0 victory over Chile. This time their attack was at full throttle: Manmeet Singh netted three times (17’, 26’, 36’), Arshdeep Singh also scored a hat‑trick (4’, 33’, 40’), and Dilraj Singh added three (29’, 32’, 58’). Additional goals came from Anmol Ekka (29’), Ajeet Yadav (34’, 47’), Gurjot Singh (39’, 45’), Ingalemba Thounaojam Luwang (43’, 50’), and Sarda Nand Tiwari (55’).
The win catapults India to the top of the standings, 24 goals clear of Switzerland. Oman’s defence had its moment in the first quarter, holding firm after conceding a 4‑minute opener, but the Australians were unable to build on it. Arshdeep Singh gave India the lead with a brilliant field goal, though the following minutes were less productive as Oman slowed the Indians’ rhythm.
After the two‑minute intermission, India re‑energised and, just three minutes in the second quarter, Manmeet Singh struck again. The young forward dazzled, creating no fewer than three goals in that period and establishing momentum for a high‑scoring affair. By the half‑time, a 5‑0 advantage had been sealed with Manmeet scoring once more at 26’, and both Anmol and Dilraj adding at 29’.
Crossing into the third quarter, India maintained full dominance, converting nearly every penalty corner into a goal. In a blistering five‑minute span, they added four more, with Manmeet completing his hat‑trick, while Dilraj and Arshdeep added two each, pushing Oman’s tally to a brutal 12‑0 deficit.
The final quarter became a formality. India scored five more times and closed out the game on a clean sheet, while Oman, despite an early surge, could not regain their footing. The Indians’ goalkeepers performed flawlessly, securing yet another shut‑out.
