In Amethi, Uttar Pradesh, a big moment unfolded just before Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday. The new government medical college in Tiloi got official approval for 50 MBBS seats. This achievement ends a 40-year fight by locals for better medical education and healthcare in the area.
Smriti Irani, the former Union Minister and BJP leader, kicked off the project by laying the foundation stone about three-and-a-half years ago. The Rs 300 crore facility means real change for the region. Irani called the day emotional, pointing out how tough things were before. “Under Congress rule, they couldn’t even build a bus stand in Tiloi. Imagine dreaming of a medical college back then,” she said. She praised PM Modi’s leadership for making it happen and noted how he chose his birthday to announce the recognition. It shows his humility and dedication to helping underserved areas, she added.
For Irani, this medical college in Amethi isn’t just bricks and mortar—it’s a beacon of hope, progress, and empowerment for families across Uttar Pradesh. “It will save lives, train future doctors, and turn the region into a healthcare hub,” she shared.
The celebrations got personal when Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya opened up on social media platform X. He recalled how PM Modi called him personally after his father’s death to offer condolences. Two years later, at a rally in Kaushambi, Modi publicly remembered that moment and praised Maurya. “I felt so touched that he kept such a personal detail in mind,” Maurya wrote. It highlights Modi’s empathy and strong bond with BJP workers at the grassroots level.
Actor and Gorakhpur BJP MP Ravi Kishan also shared a memorable story from 2019. During a meeting in Delhi, Kishan bent down to touch Modi’s feet. But the Prime Minister held his hand and said firmly, “Bharat Jhukega Nahi” (India will not bow down). “Those words, full of conviction, still drive me forward,” Kishan said. “It’s not just a leader speaking—it’s the voice of 1.4 billion Indians.”
As Amethi embraces this new medical college, PM Modi’s birthday feels like more than a personal milestone. It reinforces his vision for inclusive development across India, from building healthcare infrastructure to showing real emotional support. This step empowers every corner of the country and proves that when leaders listen and deliver, progress follows. For Amethi residents, it’s the start of a brighter, healthier future.
