Amit Badlani, the managing director of Vihaan Clean & Green Tech and Go Green Mechanisms Pvt. Ltd., was honored by Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel on Tuesday for his work in protecting the environment and driving sustainable industry growth in the state.
Badlani has spent the last 17 years creating cleaner, greener industrial systems. Under his leadership, Vihaan, a subsidiary of HyFun Foods, has built world‑class Common Effluent Treatment Plants (CETPs) and Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) systems that set new standards for pollution control and operational excellence.
The award also recognises Vihaan’s community projects. The company runs afforestation drives, builds sustainable infrastructure, and integrates clean technology across its operations. Earlier this year, Vihaan’s World Environment Day program partnered with the Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB) to plant 400 trees—a move praised by GPCB officials for its real impact on green development.
Speaking after the ceremony, Badlani said the honour belongs to “every engineer, operator and visionary who believes that industry can coexist responsibly with nature.” He added that sustainability is not a target but a daily practice. “Each project we do moves us toward a cleaner tomorrow where progress and protection move together,” he said.
The ceremony drew senior government officials, including Minister of State for Home, Sports, Youth and Cultural Activities Shri Harsh Sanghvi, and industry leaders. It highlighted Badlani’s role in advancing sustainable industrialisation, aligning with India’s Vision 2070 for net‑zero emissions.
Through his companies, Badlani is redefining how Indian industry manages its environmental footprint, turning compliance into a growth driver for the future.
