Woman in San Francisco bar brawl video fired from Strava for ‘extremely concerning off-hours behavior’

San Francisco police have confirmed that the woman who went viral for a drunken brawl at a high‑end restaurant is Shireen Afkari. Afkari, who lists herself as a marketing manager for the fitness‑app company Strava and was previously employed by Credit Karma, was caught on camera railing at and punching staff inside Hazie’s in the Hayes Valley neighborhood.

The video shows a bartender throwing her out of the bar, after which she stumbled onto the sidewalk and later collapsed in a dramatic face‑plant.

The officers arrived at about 9:41 p.m. on Saturday, after the pair came in with a male companion. The crew had to haul Afkari out after she leapt at employees and knocked a phone out of someone’s hands.

“He’s f—ing harassing me,” she shouted to a bartender off‑camera before being shoved outside by Miguel Marchese, who later posted the footage on Instagram.

Strava sent a brief comment to Instagram stating, “We are aware of an employee who exhibited extremely concerning off‑hours behavior. We don’t condone violence of any kind and this does not reflect the standards we expect of our team.”

The  company had decided to terminate Afkari’s employment as of Monday. The police later arrested her for public drunkenness and transferred her to county jail.
