Bhutan’s Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay sent heartfelt birthday wishes to India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his 75th birthday. In a warm message from Thimphu, Tobgay shared that Bhutan’s national servicemen, women, and all its people join in celebrating Modi’s special day. “We pray for your good health, happiness, and long life,” he added. This comes as leaders around the world shower PM Modi with greetings on this milestone occasion.
New Zealand’s Prime Minister Christopher Luxon also joined the celebrations, praising Modi’s strong leadership and vision for turning India into a developed nation by 2047. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Luxon wrote, “Happy Birthday @narendramodi,” and shared a personal video message. “Kia ora, namaskar, my good friend Prime Minister Modi. Congratulations on your 75th birthday from me and all your friends in New Zealand,” he said in the video. Luxon highlighted his excitement about deepening ties between New Zealand and India to boost security and prosperity for both countries.
He even recalled his visit to India in March this year, saying he hopes to return the warm hospitality by hosting Modi in New Zealand soon. “In the meantime, I wish you a very, very happy birthday,” Luxon wrapped up.
US President Donald Trump didn’t hold back either. He called PM Modi to wish him a happy birthday and thanked him for India’s support in pushing for peace in the Russia-Ukraine conflict. Trump posted on his Truth Social account: “Just had a wonderful phone call with my friend, Prime Minister Narendra Modi. I wished him a very Happy Birthday! He is doing a tremendous job. Narendra: Thank you for your support on ending the War between Russia and Ukraine! President DJT.”
PM Modi responded quickly on X, calling Trump “my friend” and reaffirming their shared goals. “Thank you, my friend, President Trump, for your phone call and warm greetings on my 75th birthday. Like you, I am also fully committed to taking the India-US Comprehensive and Global Partnership to new heights. We support your initiatives towards a peaceful resolution of the Ukraine conflict,” Modi wrote.
It’s clear PM Modi’s birthday is bringing global leaders together, highlighting strong international bonds and shared visions for peace and progress.
