Thaman discloses that the second single from Prabhas’s ‘The Raja Saab’ will be an ‘uber cool melody’
Hyderabad, Dec 9 – Music director Thaman, who is crafting the soundtrack for director Maruthi’s highly‑anticipated horror flick The Raja Saab starring Prabhas in the lead, has just dropped a fresh update about the film’s second single, “Sahana Sahana.”
On Twitter (X) Thaman shared a short, playful clip that teased what listeners can expect from the track. He added that it will be an “uber cool melody” with Prabhas belting it out to Nidhi Agerwal in the movie. The composer also posted: “Second single from #TheRajaSaab is Getting Ready. The makers have confirmed a wide‑release for the film on January 9, 2025, positioning it as a marquee Sankranthi offering.
The excitement has been amplified by a recently released trailer that blends chills with comedy. It opens as Prabhas is hypnotized by a seasoned expert who pulls his memories back, during which he senses a strange presence that jolts him upright. The horror is interwoven with humor, including a scene where a ghost approaches a bewildered Prabhas, who jokingly calls it his grandfather and offers to introduce it to those around him. A cameo by VTV Ganesh adds a meta‑twist as the ghost asks why anyone would want to be introduced, only to have Prabhas reply, “Then, what are you waiting for? Run!”
Beyond spookiness, the film promises a balanced mix of romance, action and laughs, with a character introduced as a former street magician turned exorcist, hypnotist, and psychiatrist, adding a psychological layer to the story. In another segment, Prabhas takes on a demon role, quipping, “What’s your problem? Am I an ant to sting you when you reach into the anthill? I’m the demon,” all while smoking a cigar and sitting upside‑down on an ominously hanging throne.
With Prabhas stepping into uncharted territory as the lead for his first full‑blown horror adventure, the buzz around The Raja Saab continues to rise.
