Mumbai – Actress Sonam Khan reminisced about a childhood secret crush on Bollywood legend Mithun Chakraborty in a recent Instagram post.
She shared an old photo of the two together, then told fans how she felt nervous whenever she worked with him. “He was the only co‑actor I was afraid to talk to,” she wrote, and added that he never knew she admired him from a distance.
Khan praised Mithun’s kindness and grace, calling him “a superstar with a heart of gold.” She revealed that he had signed her for a movie before her first film premiered—a huge break for a newcomer. “Thanks to his generosity, I didn’t even have to audition,” she said.
The actress also recalled meeting Mithun again at Coimbatore airport while traveling to Ooty. He invited her to a seven‑course meal at his hotel, The Monarch, and she described the experience as “the same gracious gentleman I met at the start of my career.”
