Nitish Kumar holds key meeting with JD-U leaders in Patna

Bihar Election Buzz: Nitish Kumar Holds Key Strategy Meet After Amit Shah Talks

In Patna, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar kicked off a crucial election strategy session at the JD-U state office on Thursday. This came right after his meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Senior leaders like JD-U National Working President Sanjay Jha and Rural Work Minister Ashok Choudhary joined the discussions, ramping up preparations for the upcoming Bihar assembly elections.

Sanjay Jha didn’t hold back when addressing Congress MP Rahul Gandhi’s recent jabs at the Election Commission of India. "Rahul Gandhi came to Bihar, but he made zero impact. Nobody even remembers what he says or does," Jha quipped, brushing off the criticism.

On the high-profile meet between Amit Shah and Nitish Kumar, Jha kept it straightforward. "When two heavyweights like Home Minister Amit Shah and CM Nitish Kumar sit down, they naturally talk about Bihar and the nation’s big issues. With elections around the corner, that was the focus—no doubt about it."

When asked about seat-sharing in the NDA alliance, Jha played it cool. "It’s way too early to say anything on that," he noted, keeping details under wraps for now.

Jha also took a swipe at RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav’s ongoing Bihar Adhikar Yatra. "Tejashwi already did one yatra with Rahul Gandhi, and now he’s back for more. But Bihar’s people remember what RJD rule looked like—it’s etched in our history. Nitish Kumar’s strong influence will shine through in these Bihar elections."

Ashok Choudhary echoed the sentiment, targeting Rahul Gandhi’s repeated warnings about the Constitution and reservations being under threat. "The Election Commission matter is already before the Supreme Court. Rahul keeps saying the same old lines to create confusion. Congress has been sliding since 1977—they really need to look inward," Choudhary said.

Choudhary didn’t spare Tejashwi’s popular slogan, ‘Bring a degree, get a job.’ He recalled RJD’s past governance with a sharp critique: "Under RJD, they set up shepherd schools in Bihar, thinking that would boost the youth. But Nitish Kumar built real engineering and medical colleges, drawing huge crowds of students. During RJD days, smart people left Bihar in droves. Now, Tejashwi helicopters in to console families of crime victims—victims of criminals linked to his own party. What kind of Bihar is he dreaming of?"

As top NDA leaders like Amit Shah and Nitish Kumar gear up, Bihar’s political scene is heating up fast. With opposition yatras in full swing and alliances fine-tuning strategies, the race for the Bihar assembly elections promises a fierce battle ahead.
