Hyderabad – Dec 3 (LatestNewsX) – Popular film star Ajay Devgn is set to attend the Telangana Rising Global Summit, where he’s expected to formalise a deal with the state government to build a cutting‑edge film studio and city in Hyderabad.
The two‑day summit is being organised by the state at Bharat Future City on 8‑9 December.
“We are honoured to welcome Ajay Devgn to the Telangana Rising Global Summit, a distinguished actor‑producer whose collaboration with the state is set to bring cutting‑edge film production and VFX capabilities to Telangana,” the organisers posted on social media.
“National award‑winning actor, producer and one of India’s most influential figures in film and entertainment. He is partnering with the government of Telangana to develop a state‑of‑the‑art film studio and film city, bringing world‑class production, VFX, and smart studio capabilities to the state,” they added.
Earlier in July, Devgn met Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy at his residence in New Delhi, expressing a keen interest in establishing a world‑class studio in Telangana. The Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) recorded that Devgn proposed building a studio with international‑standard Animation, VFX and AI‑powered smart facilities. He also offered to set up a skills institute to train industry professionals across various domains.
Devgn asked the Chief Minister for the needed support to launch the project, underlining Telangana’s potential as a premier hub for cinema infrastructure in India and sharing a vision of enriching the film ecosystem with global expertise and state‑of‑the‑art technology.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy briefed the actor on the state’s multi‑sector development plans, especially in media and entertainment. According to the CMO, Devgn appreciated the proactive measures and pledged to serve as a brand ambassador, promoting “Rising Telangana” through cinema and media.
