Karan Johar can’t wait to watch ‘Dining With the Kapoors’ entertain and ‘make mouths water’

Mumbai – Bollywood director Karan Johar is buzzing on Instagram about the new Netflix special Dining With the Kapoors. In his story he reposted the teaser and wrote, “Congrats @therealarmaanjain! I can’t wait to see the family entertain us and make our mouths water!”
Johar has always celebrated the Kapoor clan. He often drops by for family parties and publicly praises the actors behind the scenes.

Alia Bhatt also showed her excitement. She shared the same promo on her Instagram stories, adding, “From my experience, this is going to be too much fun. Congrats Armani… what an amazing job!”
The film stars the Kapoor family – Kareena, Ranbir, Rhea, Arjun, and family friends – gathering for a special lunch that marks what would have been Raj Kapoor’s 100th birthday.

The teaser opens with Kareena describing the group as “funny, loving, and united.” Viewers see Ranbir and Armaan laughing while cooking, playful banter around the table, and Kareena’s legendary appetite in full swing. A brief clip of Kareena later admits a slip‑up and asks the crew to pause the camera – a quick, hilarious moment. The clip also features rare footage of Raj Kapoor and ends with a group photo in which Ranbir repeats the iconic line, “Jeena yahan, marna yahan… iske siwa jana kahan.”
