Adani Group partners with Indian Pickleball League to boost debut season

In New Delhi, the Indian Pickleball League (IPBL) has struck a major partnership with the Adani Group, designating Adani as the league’s “Powered By” sponsor ahead of its first season. The deal brings together IPBL’s bright, city‑based league format with Adani’s long‑standing sports‑development experience, underlining a shared goal of raising the sport’s profile across India.

The IPBL is the country’s only official pickleball league, fully licensed by the Indian Pickleball Association (IPA) and approved by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports. Its inaugural competition will run from December 1–7, 2025, at the KD Jadhav Indoor Hall inside the Indira Gandhi Stadium in New Delhi. The tournament will feature teams from major Indian cities, and it will invite top domestic and international players to create a fast‑paced, TV‑friendly spectacle.

Adani Group’s sports philanthropy has focused on building grassroots programs, supporting young talent, and creating clear pathways to national recognition. By backing the IPBL, the group aims to strengthen India’s emerging pickleball scene while giving the league a solid foundation and wide visibility. “We’re excited to bring Adani into the IPBL’s debut season,” said Sameer Pathak, President of Pickleball World Rankings. “Their commitment to growing Indian sport fits perfectly with our plan to make pickleball as big and respected as it deserves to be.”

Sanjay Adesara, Chief Business Officer of Adani Sportsline, added, “Pickleball is one of India’s fastest‑growing sports, and our partnership shows how we support emerging talent and build world‑class sports infrastructure. The IPBL has the potential to inspire a new generation of athletes, and we’re proud to help it grow nationwide.”

The partnership comes at a moment when pickleball’s popularity in India is surging. At the 2025 Pickleball World Cup in Florida, India finished seventh overall, winning 25 medals—including eight gold, eight silver, and nine bronze—making it the only Asian country in the top ten. These successes have given the sport a swift rise on the global stage.

With the IPBL now backed by the Adani Group, the league is set for a confident launch. The collaboration aims to create a modern, inspiring competition that energises fans and players alike, while building a lasting ecosystem to sustain pickleball’s growth across the country. The Indian Pickleball League and Adani together are positioning pickleball as a key player in India’s expanding sports landscape.
