Rob Reiner’s final message for Holocaust survivors in just aired clip recorded weeks before death

From beyond life, Hollywood legend Rob Reiner addressed a gathering of Holocaust survivors with a moving call for “resilience.”

The pre‑recorded footage was shot just weeks before the tragic shooting of Reiner and his wife in their Brentwood home, and it became the centerpiece of that year’s International Holocaust Survivors Night.

In his final words, he remembered his aunt who had been at Auschwitz, and spoke of his wife Michele, who said “the whole family died there” except for her mother.

He added, “I know the theme of the evening is resilience, and if ever we needed to be resilient, it’s now.” He continued, “We’re living in a time when what’s happening in our country is scary and brings to mind what we’ve seen before. We just hope that we can all survive this and hold on to our democracy.”

Nick Reiner, the couple’s son, is accused of killing his parents last weekend in a brutal slaying after a history of odd behavior.
