David Stark Design and Production has just taken over a 31,500‑square‑foot industrial space at 280 Johnson Avenue in Bushwick. The warehouse, once an empty shell, received a full‑scale renovation that modernized the layout, boosted operational efficiency, and created flexible floor plans suited for a creative agency.
Stark is a well‑known firm in the design, event production and brand‑experience world. The company is excited to move into a building that blends contemporary style with practical functionality, making it an ideal workplace for its forward‑thinking team.

Prologis, a specialist in logistics property investment, owns or manages 207 warehouse and distribution centers across the New York‑New Jersey area as of June. The firm expanded its office footprint last summer, adding 23,000 square feet at 461 Fifth Ave.
While retail developments in Gowanus are still emerging, a significant breakthrough came with 40,000 square feet leased at 499 President Street. The new tenants include Union Market, an Italian café called Corto, and Spear Physical Therapy, joining nearby businesses like Paulie Gee’s and Royal Palms Shuffleboard.
Union Market will occupy the largest share with 10,000 square feet, establishing its flagship grocery store at 532‑542 Union Street, right next to a residential apartment building. Corto will serve coffee and pastries along Nevins Street, adjacent to Spear Physical Therapy.
The 499 President project also houses 350 rental apartments, contributing to Gowanus’s growing residential boom along the canal. Together, these moves underscore Brooklyn’s transformation into a hub for creative workspaces, modern retail, and vibrant community living.
