Big-ticket investors line up for PM MITRA textile park in MP; PM Modi to inaugurate on his b’day

Big Boost for Madhya Pradesh’s Textile Dreams: Rs 27,000 Crore Investments Pour In for PM MITRA Park
Investor excitement is building fast for the PM MITRA Textile Park in Dhar, Madhya Pradesh. Just ahead of its big launch, the park has already pulled in investment proposals worth a whopping Rs 27,109 crore. This surge shows how much faith big textile companies and industry groups have in the project, promising massive growth for the state’s textile sector.
State officials are thrilled, noting that major players want to set up shops here. They expect the park to spark a boom in industrial activity and create around 3 lakh jobs—1 lakh direct ones and 2 lakh indirect. Plus, it could double the value farmers get from their cotton, breathing new life into rural areas.
What makes this park so attractive? It’s all about top-notch setup and smart planning. Spread over 2,158 acres in Bhainsola village, the PM MITRA Park offers world-class features like a 20 MLD common effluent treatment plant to handle waste, a 10 MVA solar power unit for clean energy, steady water and electricity, smooth road links, and even 81 ready-to-use plug-and-play industrial units. Add in worker housing and community facilities, and you’ve got a full-fledged industrial township that’s set to inspire others.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will kick things off on September 17, right on his 75th birthday. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav calls it a proud moment, saying it honors the grit of local farmers and lays the groundwork for Madhya Pradesh’s industrial rise. "This is global recognition for our hard work," he added, hailing the park as the "foundation stone of Madhya Pradesh’s industrial future."
At its core, the PM MITRA initiative follows PM Modi’s vision of turning farms into fashion hubs and boosting exports—from "Farm to Fiber, Factory to Fashion, and Fashion to Foreign." The Dhar park brings the whole textile chain under one roof: raw cotton spins into yarn, then fabrics, garments, and finally global shipments. This all-in-one approach could shake up cotton industries and turn Madhya Pradesh into a key player on the world textile map.
Madhya Pradesh already leads in cotton production, churning out nearly 24 lakh tonnes each year from 6 lakh hectares of land. It supplies 40% of India’s organic cotton too. With the PM MITRA Textile Park in Dhar, the state is gearing up to become India’s central hub for all things textile, driving jobs, farmer incomes, and economic growth.
