A tornado struck the Memorial Northwest subdivision outside Houston, leaving a bit more than a hundred houses damaged.
At least some of the roofs had shingles ripped off, and fallen branches and debris have stalled traffic in the area. No one was hurt, according to officials.
Constable Mark Herman’s Facebook feed shows drone footage of the wreckage, while the Houston Fire Department sent five crew members to chop down and clear downed trees.
The National Weather Service posted a tornado watch that ran through 1 a.m. Tuesday for southeastern Texas, and issued a severe thunderstorm warning for parts of the region as well.
