Exciting news for fans of Indian business stories and Bollywood stars: The first look at the upcoming series “Made in India – A Titan Story” just dropped, giving us a peek into how Titan grew into one of India’s most beloved brands.
This teaser comes right on the 11th anniversary of the government’s Make in India campaign, spotlighting the real-life tale of J.R.D. Tata and Xerxes Desai. These two visionaries built Titan from the ground up, taking it from intense boardroom debates to bustling factory floors. The show dives into how their bold ideas reshaped India’s spot on the world map, turning a simple dream into a global powerhouse.
On Thursday, the team shared a promo on social media, showing the young Titan crew pushing boundaries when skeptics everywhere said it couldn’t be done. They held tight to their ambitions, and the caption teased in Hindi: “History toh ban gayi, par kaise bani yeh jald hi pata chalega” – which translates to “History has been made, but how it was made will be known soon.”
Naseeruddin Shah steps into the shoes of J.R.D. Tata, the aviation pioneer and Tata Group icon, while Jim Sarbh brings Xerxes Desai to life, the man who dreamed big for Titan’s watchmaking legacy. The cast also includes Namita Dubey, Vaibhav Tatwawaadi, Kaveri Seth, Lakshvir Saran, and Paresh Ganatra in key supporting roles.
Shah shared his thoughts on the role, calling it “both a privilege and a responsibility.” He explained, “J.R.D. Tata combined vision with humanity, and it’s rare to find stories so tied to modern India’s creation. Made in India – A Titan Story isn’t just about a company – it’s about a legacy that still inspires us all.”
Sarbh echoed that excitement about portraying Desai: “He was a visionary who spotted opportunities others missed. Playing him let me dive into the grit and conviction needed to build something lasting from nothing. This series celebrates innovation and believing in ideas bigger than yourself.”
Robby Grewal directs the series, with Karan Vyas handling the writing and Prabhleen Sandhu from Almighty Motion Picture producing. Mark your calendars – “Made in India – A Titan Story” hits screens early next year on Amazon MX Player. Best part? It’s free to stream on MX Player, Amazon apps, Prime Video, Fire TV, and Airtel Xstream.
