Exciting Update on Shane Nigam’s Upcoming Kabaddi Drama ‘Balti’
Fans of Malayalam cinema are buzzing with excitement over the latest reveal from the upcoming sports action drama Balti. The makers just dropped the first look of actor Akshay Radhakrishnan as the character Pratheep, adding more intrigue to this high-energy Kabaddi film starring Shane Nigam.

Originally set to release worldwide on August 29 for Onam celebrations, Balti has now shifted to September 26. The delay hasn’t dimmed the enthusiasm—fans and movie lovers can’t wait to see Shane Nigam shine as Udhayan, a bold Kabaddi raider who dominates the field and strikes fear into rival defenses. This marks a big milestone for Shane, as it’s his 25th film!
Directed and written by Unni Sivalingam, Balti dives deep into the thrilling world of Kabaddi, showcasing intense matches and character-driven stories. Joining Shane are talented actors like Preethi Asrani and Shanthanu Bhagyaraj in key roles. Shanthanu plays Kumar, while Selvaraghavan steps in as the menacing Porthamarai Bhairavan.
A major highlight? Acclaimed director Alphonse Puthren, famous for the blockbuster Premam, makes a special appearance as the ruthless gangster Soda Babu. This star-studded cast promises edge-of-your-seat drama.
