Rajasthan BJP President Madan Rathore fired back at Congress leaders on Monday, slamming them—including former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot—for turning the tragic murder of Udaipur tailor Kanhaiya Lal into a political weapon. He accused them of spreading misleading information to confuse the public.
Rathore pointed out that while Congress ramps up its propaganda, the BJP government under Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma focuses on real progress for every community in Rajasthan. “Back when Congress ran the state, corruption, crime, and mafias controlling gravel and liquor were everywhere,” he said. “Now, with BJP working honestly, they’re losing their grip.”
The BJP leader highlighted key development initiatives boosting Rajasthan’s growth. These include opening new medical colleges, community health centers, and primary health centers. The government has rolled out Ayushman Bharat Yojana and Chief Minister’s Chiranjeevi Yojana effectively, ensuring timely compensation for farmers, better cow shelters, and smoother NREGA payments. Rathore stressed that these steps show Rajasthan BJP government’s dedication to public welfare and transparency— a sharp contrast to the neglect under the previous Congress regime.
On law and order in Rajasthan, Rathore said the state has beefed up protections for women and girls. Special squads, fast-track courts, and a 24-hour helpline are now in place to keep everyone safe. Criminals and paper leak mafias face tough action, with no political cover-ups like those seen during Congress rule.
“BJP leaders, MLAs, and ministers stay connected to the people,” Rathore added. “The opposition just stirs up confusion.”
Diving into the Kanhaiya Lal murder case, Rathore criticized Congress for not stopping the killing when they held power in Rajasthan. Now, three years later, they’re trying to pin the blame on Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “Congress has always been soft on terrorism and extremism, pushing appeasement over justice,” he said. “BJP and PM Modi follow a zero-tolerance approach, and people see right through Congress’s double standards.”
In the end, Rathore made it clear: While the opposition plays politics, the Rajasthan BJP government keeps pushing for development, public welfare, and safety across the state.
