‘Tradwife’ influencer Estee Williams reveals 3-month-old daughter’s on ‘full life support’ after cardiac arrest
Influencer Estee Williams Shares Terrifying Update on 3‑Month‑Old Daughter’s Health
Social‑media star Estee Williams, who markets herself as a “tradwife,” posted a heartbreaking Instagram Story early Tuesday morning. She explained that her 3‑month‑old baby, Estelle—a girl she affectionately calls “Baby E”—had sudden cardiac arrest while she was sleeping.
According to Williams, the baby received chest compressions for 47 minutes before the hospital team placed her on full life support, specifically an extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) machine.
Williams said the tiny infant had been diagnosed with congenital heart defects less than a day after her birth on September 5. Within the first 24 hours, her lactate levels spiked dangerously, and when she started turning blue, medications were given to boost oxygen. But at midnight, Estelle’s breathing changed, her skin went gray, and her oxygen saturation dropped into the 60s with no pulse.
The team quickly connected her to the ECMO, which helped bring her lactate levels from 13 down to 3 (with ideal levels below 2), a calculation highlighted on the GoFundMe page set up for the family.
“The baby’s brain is still functioning normally after the nearly hour‑long CPR,” the grandmother, Holly Nielsen, wrote in a Christmas‑Eve update. “Baby Estelle is fighting with everything her tiny body has!!!”
Since Estelle was born, she has undergone multiple open‑heart surgeries. The first operation took place on November 20 when she was just 11 weeks old. Surgeons found an unusually large ventricular septal defect (VSD) measuring 30 mm, along with a smaller, harder‑to‑reach VSD positioned between the aorta and pulmonary artery.
To close these gaps, the heart muscle was incised to attach a patch over the largest hole. Estelle spent nearly four hours on a heart‑lung bypass—an extended time for an infant—before being stabilized.
The family’s GoFundMe campaign now has raised almost $23,000. The money will help cover the mounting medical bills for treatments that will continue into the future. Williams, who has 109,000 followers on Instagram and 193,000 on TikTok, is a full‑time stay‑at‑home mom and wife. She has repeatedly stated that women should not “compete with men” and has cited the Christian Bible as a basis for traditional gender roles.
Looking ahead, the doctors plan to implant a VAD (ventricular assist device), commonly known as a Berlin Heart, to support Estelle until her placement on the heart‑transplant waiting list. The average wait for a suitable donor can range from three to six months, according to medical reports.
“Please keep my sweet girl in your prayers. This next week is a scary time as we see what her next option will be,” Williams added in a heartfelt plea.
