A deceased man was found washed up along Brooklyn’s Brighton Beach on Christmas morning. Police said the body—believed to be a man in his fifties—was located at about 11:20 a.m. near Brighton 15th Street and Boardwalk East. In the photos taken at the scene, the body lay beneath a white sheet just feet from the waterfront.
The discovery follows a similar finding two weeks earlier, when human remains were uncovered in a wooded area of the Bronx’s Van Cortlandt Park, off the southbound side of the Major Deegan Expressway.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will conduct a formal investigation to determine the cause of death.
