Gujarat Dy CM highlights faster clearances for ‘Viksit Gujarat @ 2047’

Ahmedabad – Dec 11 (LatestNewsX) – At a gathering hosted by the Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) in Ahmedabad, Deputy Chief Minister and Industries Minister Harsh Sanghavi reaffirmed the state’s pledge to boost industrial development and streamline the business climate.

The forum brought together top industry leaders, GCCI officials and senior government ministers to discuss policy priorities, fresh opportunities and Gujarat’s long‑term economic strategy. Addressing the crowd, Sanghavi credited the private sector for helping make Gujarat the country’s leading industrial hub.

“You employ millions, fuel the nation’s GDP and drive economic momentum. The government stands firmly with you—our role is to ensure Gujarat’s industrial growth faces no speed‑breakers,” he stated.

A key highlight of the session was the significant acceleration in file‑processing by the Industries Department. Sanghavi announced that the department’s clearance rate has doubled, moving from 230 files a day to 480, and that the next goal is 700 per day. He stressed that investors need minutes, not days, when they decide to bring big capital to the state.

“When an investor brings major capital to Gujarat, time becomes the most valuable commodity. It is our responsibility to ensure timely approvals so that businesses experience the true essence of Ease of Doing Business,” he added.

Sanghavi also outlined Gujarat’s strategy under ‘Viksit Gujarat @ 2047’, in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a fully developed India by that year. The state aims to lift its economy to USD 3.5 trillion, with a focus on semiconductors, green hydrogen, renewable energy, green growth and other high‑innovation sectors.

He underscored the importance of the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Summits, which aim to unlock investment opportunities at the grassroots level and deepen collaboration across districts.

Participants—including GCCI President Sandeep Engineer, Senior Vice President Rajesh Gandhi, senior Industries Department officials and representatives from various sectors—reaffirmed their commitment to Gujarat’s development trajectory.

The meeting helped strengthen the partnership between government and industry as Gujarat readies itself for the next phase of high‑velocity, future‑ready economic growth.
