Tripura University Kicks Off Two-Day Workshop on National Education Policy 2020
In a big step for education in the Northeast, the Department of Sanskrit at Tripura University teamed up with the All India Central University Works to launch a two-day workshop on the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The event kicked off on Saturday at the MBB Auditorium on the university campus in Agartala, Tripura.
Tripura Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu added star power as the chief guest at the inauguration. Prof. Shaymal Das, the Vice Chancellor of Tripura University, is leading the workshop and keeping things on track.
Kishore Barman from the Ministry of Higher Education, Government of Tripura, joined as the guest of honour. The keynote speech came from Prof. Rajsharan Shahi, Dean of the School of Education at Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU), another central university.
Prof. Debraj Panigrahi, Head of the Department of Sanskrit at Tripura University, is serving as the convenor for this important gathering.
Over the next two days, experts and educators will dive deep into NEP 2020’s key features and how it can transform higher education in India. The policy promises big changes like more flexibility in courses and a focus on skills for the future, and this workshop aims to explore real-world ways to put it into action.
