In New Delhi on December 1, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd (M&M Ltd) announced that its total vehicle sales for November reached 92,670 units, representing a 19 % rise from the same month last year, exports included.
SUVs were the top-selling category, with domestic deliveries climbing 22 % to 56,336 units, while overall SUV volumes—including exports—totalled 57,598.
Commercial vehicle sales in the country hit 24,843, up 17 % year‑on‑year.
“We are also marking the first anniversary of our Electric Origin SUVs. This month saw the launch of India’s first genuine Electric Origin seven‑seater, the XEV 9S, along with the world’s inaugural Formula E‑themed special‑edition SUV, the Mahindra BE 6 Formula E Edition,” said Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO of the Automotive Division.
In the fiscal year 2026, cumulative utility‑vehicle sales through November rose 18 % to 425,530, compared with 360,936 in FY25. The November uptick in utility sales—56,336 units—was up 20 % from 46,222 the previous year.
For light commercial vehicles, units under 2 tonnes sold 3,255 in November, a 5 % increase, while those in the 2‑ to 3.5‑tonne bracket grew 20 % to 21,588 units. The year‑to‑date sales for this segment reached 162,946, up 13 % over the prior year.
Three‑wheelers, electric included, recorded 8,568 domestic sales in November, marking a 7 % YoY rise.
Exports for the month climbed 5 % to 2,923 units, and the year‑to‑date export total hit 27,241, up 30 % year‑on‑year.
Mahindra Last Mile Mobility Ltd, a subsidiary of M&M, celebrated that it has sold over 300,000 electric commercial vehicles, claiming the distinction of being the first OEM in India to reach that milestone.
