FBI stops planned New Year’s Eve Los Angeles terror attack by pro-Palestinian cell

WASHINGTON — Law‑enforcement officials say the FBI stopped a planned terrorist attack on New Year’s Eve in Los Angeles after arresting five members of a pro‑Palestinian extremist group.

According to sources, the “credible” threat came from hard‑line cells of the Turtle Island Liberation Front (TILF), a far‑left, anti‑government and anti‑capitalist organization.

Four of the suspects were caught in Lucerne Valley in the Mojave Desert, where they were allegedly testing homemade explosives, while a fifth was apprehended in New Orleans.

Attorney General Pam Bondi announced on X that the Department of Justice, in partnership with the FBI, had prevented what could have been a “massive and horrific terror plot” in Orange County and Los Angeles, noting that the group intended to target multiple sites and even ICE agents and vehicles.

Bondi praised the work of U.S. Attorneys’ offices and the FBI and vowed that the authorities would keep pursuing these terror units. The arrests were first reported by Fox News.
