Akshardham Temple in Jodhpur Gears Up for Grand Consecration Ceremony

Excitement is building in Rajasthan’s Jodhpur as the stunning Akshardham Temple nears completion. Built by the Bochasanwasi Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS), this magnificent Swaminarayan Temple in Kaliberi Sursagar is ready for its Pran Pratishtha ceremony on September 25. Devotees are buzzing about this spiritual milestone, which promises to light up the Marwar region with ancient Sanatan culture.

The Pran Pratishtha rituals will kick off on September 19 and run through September 28, drawing hundreds of saints, swamis, and BAPS volunteers. Leading the ceremonies will be BAPS’ spiritual head, Mahant Swami Maharaj. High-profile guests include Union Ministers like Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and Ashwini Vaishnav, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, and Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma. Their presence will add even more grandeur to the event.

Thousands of Lord Vishnu devotees are set to flock to Jodhpur from across India and abroad. Expect crowds from the United States, England, France, Australia, and Africa, all eager to join the Pran Pratishtha Mahotsav. This global gathering highlights the temple’s role as a beacon of faith and unity.

On September 24, a massive procession will take center stage. It starts at Gandhi Maidan, winds through the city’s key streets, and ends at Umaid Garden. This vibrant parade will showcase the community’s spirit and devotion.

Sprawling across 42 bighas of land, the Akshardham Temple boasts impressive architecture. Its main gates tower at 191, 181, and 111 feet high, topped with five majestic shikharas. Inside, 281 pillars support 121 beautiful arches, and 151 intricate statues adorn the structure. For a full experience, take the 1,100-foot parikrama path around the temple—it’s a peaceful way to soak in its beauty and serenity.

Once inaugurated, this Akshardham Temple in Jodhpur will stand as a proud symbol of Sanatan traditions, inspiring locals and visitors alike. If you’re in Rajasthan or planning a trip, don’t miss this once-in-a-lifetime celebration of faith and heritage.
