Video shows wild brawl moments before 16-year-old boy shot dead on Christmas Day in California

A disturbing video captures the tense moments leading up to a deadly Christmas Day shooting in Lancaster, California, where a 16-year-old boy was killed and four others were wounded.

The footage shows a chaotic street confrontation in broad daylight, with a group of young men and women shouting and throwing punches as the situation quickly spirals out of control. At least three teens appear to brandish firearms, and one is seen aiming a handgun toward the crowd.

In the video, a woman can be heard yelling, “You gonna put a gun on me n—a, you’re a bitch,” before striking one of the teens. Another voice pleads, “Don’t do it, the police just left.” Nearby, a woman holding a toddler watches the chaos unfold in visible fear.

A second clip captures the sound of eight rapid gunshots followed by screams. The camera tilts toward the sky, and the recording abruptly cuts off. Just before the shooting, a woman says, “I’ve got all this on camera,” as a teen appears to flash gang signs. The video, posted on X on Dec. 29, had drawn more than 1.8 million views as of publication.

Authorities identified the victim as Zoen Flowers, who was pronounced dead at the scene by firefighters, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

A 17-year-old girl, a 15-year-old boy, and two men ages 19 and 29 were taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds following the shooting, which occurred around 1:10 p.m. Investigators said the suspects remain at large.

The LA Sheriff’s Department did not immediately respond to a request for updated information.

Zoen’s family described him as a young man who always tried to do his best. One of his aunts told NBC4 that his mother is heartbroken, saying, “His mother is never going to stop crying for him.”
