Mumbai, Nov. 6 – Bollywood star Meezaan Jafri lit up his fans’ feeds with a throw‑back dance video that hits right in the nostalgia zone for 90s kids. In the clip, he joins the original Boogie Woogie judges — Jaaved Jaaferi, Naaved and Ravi Behl — for a lively routine to his new track “3 Shaukk.” The song is slated to play in the upcoming film De De Pyaar De 2.
Meezaan posted a short caption in Hindi that the trio would bring “big color” when they’re together, hinting at the fun vibe the video captures. The Boogie Woogie panel, which first appeared on Indian TV in the late 1990s, became household names for their sharp judging and rhythmic flair. Now, they’re back on screen with the next generation of Bollywood dancers.
Meezaan, the son of iconic judge‑turned‑actor Jaaved Jaaferi, will reprise a role in De De Pyaar De 2. He and his dad had already shared the screen in the first part of the film, and their partnership continues in the sequel. Bollywood actor Sohail Khan chimed in on the story‑line, praising Meezaan’s dancing skills. The viral clip sparked a fan message from Sohail, saying “Never thought we could have a better dancer than Javed, but my brother Meezaan, you have matched your father’s legacy.”
In reply, Meezaan thanked Sohail and all his supporters, adding that the gesture meant a lot.
The track “3 Shaukk” is performed by Avvy Sra, Karan Aujla and Jyotica Tangri, while the lyrics were written by Jaani and Karan Aujla. De De Pyaar De 2 rings up a star‑studded lineup that also features Ajay Devgn, Rakul Preet Singh, Javed Jaaferi, and R R Madhavan. Directed by Anshul Sharma, the film is set for a theatrical release on 14 November.
