We stand with Punjab in flood crisis, says Haryana CM

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has expressed solidarity with Punjab during its flood crisis. He emphasized that both states need to face the flood problem together. Saini announced that relief materials are being sent to help the flood-affected districts in Punjab, showing Haryana’s support in this difficult time.

Talking to the media, Saini said the Haryana government is closely monitoring the situation after heavy rains. He praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, saying the central government’s double-engine approach is working for the benefit of farmers. “Earlier, farmers received compensation, and this time, those affected by floods will also get help,” he added.

The Chief Minister highlighted that Haryana is with its people. To assist farmers impacted by the floods, the government has launched the e-Kshatipurti portal. So far, around 170,000 farmers from nearly 3,000 villages have registered, covering over 9.96 lakh acres of farmland. After verification, the government will take further actions to support these farmers.

Saini also took a swipe at the opposition Congress, accusing them of losing political ground. “First, they questioned EVMs, then claimed that the Constitution is in danger, and now they talk about vote theft,” he said. He criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for showing empty pockets in Parliament and claiming votes were stolen. Saini said the truth is that the Congress’s own actions have caused their problems, and the public now sees their real intentions.

The Haryana CM pointed out that Congress has no clear issues anymore and is simply searching for political space. Meanwhile, he praised Prime Minister Modi for implementing new reforms quickly, including the recent Goods and Services Tax (GST) changes within just one month.

Saini called these reforms a sign of Modi’s commitment to delivering on his promises. He described them as a major step toward building a self-reliant India and supporting initiatives like Make in India and Swadeshi. Overall, Saini emphasized that Modi’s decisions are always aimed at benefitting ordinary people and strengthening the nation.
