Mumbai:
Diljit Dosanjh, the Punjabi superstar, is gearing up to star in Anurag Singh’s new war‑movie Border 2. In a fresh splash of excitement, the filmmakers have teased the film’s first look by posting a powerful image of the singer in full combat gear on social media.
The poster shows Diljit as an air‑force officer, perched in his aircraft amid a chaotic battlefield where foes assault from every angle. His hands and face are splattered with blood, his expression fierce and unyielding.
The makers added the remark:
“Iss Desh ke Aasmaan Mein Guru ke Baaz Pehra dete hain 🇮🇳 #Border2 in cinemas 23rd January, 2026. (sic)”
After releasing the poster, Diljit shared a short clip where he strides confidently, wearing a full Air‑Force uniform; the background track comes from “Sandese Aate Hain” in Border.
Earlier in November, the team revealed Varun Dhawan’s first look. The actor appears amid a gritty, dirt‑stained war scene, dressed in a military uniform with an ammo belt across his chest. “Border uska farz hai aur Bharat uska pyaar!,” the caption read.
Directed by Anurag Singh, Border 2 follows JP Dutta’s 1997 classic Border, which depicted the 1971 Indo‑Pakistani conflict. The sequel features Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, Ahan Shetty, Medha Rana, Mona Singh, Sonam Bajwa, and other prominent actors.
Produced by Bhushan Kumar, JP Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta under J P Films and presented by T‑Series, the film is expected to hit theaters on January 23, 2026, with hints that its storyline takes inspiration from the Kargil war.
