Pennsylvania man allegedly shot and killed mother’s romantic fling mid-hookup in victim’s truck
A 24‑year‑old Pennsylvania man, Dylan Lang, faces a homicide charge after he shot his mother’s boyfriend inside their Jackson Township driveway.
According to police, Lang caught his mother, Nancy Lombardo, and her 55‑year‑old lover, Robert Hagen Jr., in the act of having sex in Hagen’s truck parked on the family property. Lang said the couple had been seeing each other for several days.
He told reporters the drug‑ and drink‑ridden argument escalated when the two returned to the house early on Saturday, a week after a drunken outing on Friday.
Lang allegedly rushed outside with a 9‑mm handgun. He tried to aim the gun through the driver‑side window, but the door was closed. He smashed the rear window and fired two shots at Hagen through the back of the seat. The bullets struck Hagen’s upper torso as he attempted to back out of the driveway. His truck rolled into the front yard, and he died at the scene.
When police arrived around 3:45 a.m., they found Hagen’s body in his truck, blood‑spattered and with his pants around his ankles. Nancy Lombardo was still inside the vehicle, shouting “You shot him!” at her son. Lang called 911 and said, “I just shot someone in my driveway. I f‑ked up.”
Lang is held without bail on criminal homicide, aggravated assault and reckless endangerment charges. He is being kept at Cambria County Prison. A preliminary hearing is set for October 27. State police are leading the investigation into the shooting.
