Russian Ambassador Wishes PM Modi on 75th Birthday, Praises India-Russia Ties
On September 17, Russian Ambassador to India Denis Alipov sent warm birthday wishes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi as he turned 75. In a heartfelt post on X (formerly Twitter) in Hindi, Alipov thanked Modi for strengthening the long-standing friendship between Russia and India.
"Heartfelt birthday greetings and best wishes to the Honourable Prime Minister of India, Shri @narendramodiji! We are grateful for his invaluable contribution in taking the decades-old friendship between Russia and India to new heights. May he continue to succeed in every endeavour for the welfare of the country and the world," Alipov wrote.
The message highlighted Modi’s role in elevating bilateral relations, a key aspect of India-Russia partnership that has grown stronger over the years.
US President Trump Also Calls to Greet PM Modi
Earlier, US President Donald Trump reached out to PM Modi with birthday wishes via a phone call. Trump praised Modi’s efforts and expressed thanks for India’s support in resolving the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump shared: "Just had a wonderful phone call with my friend, Prime Minister Narendra Modi. I wished him a very Happy Birthday! He is doing a tremendous job. Narendra: Thank you for your support on ending the War between Russia and Ukraine! President DJT."
PM Modi quickly responded on X, calling Trump "my friend" and reaffirming India’s commitment to their partnership. "Thank you, my friend, President Trump, for your phone call and warm greetings on my 75th birthday. Like you, I am also fully committed to taking the India-US Comprehensive and Global Partnership to new heights. We support your initiatives towards a peaceful resolution of the Ukraine conflict," Modi posted.
