A tragic incident in Mumbai’s Powai area has left a community in shock. On September 29, a 56-year-old woman named Shalini Devi died after her husband allegedly assaulted her in their flat at Aditya Wardhan Society.
Police rushed Shalini to a nearby hospital, but doctors declared her dead on arrival. Investigators say her 60-year-old husband, Rajive Chandrabhan Lala, forced his way into the flat and attacked her, leading to her injuries.
Mumbai police quickly arrested Rajive in connection with the domestic violence case. They registered the offence at Powai Police Station and launched a full probe to uncover more details.
